Reteach is an academy and learning platform for small and medium-sized enterprises. The company is headquartered in Berlin and offers online courses in areas such as further education, onboarding and product training.
After an intensive selection process, we were commissioned to create a completely new website (and were seen as an extension of the existing reteach team).
Team Collaboration
The awesome point about this project was the teamwork. In this case, there were in-house developers at reteach who were responsible for certain areas and worked closely with us. We, as external developers, were responsible for implementing the WordPress website, the design of which was already specified in Figma.
Initially, the progress of the project was discussed in weekly online meetings. Later, these meetings only took place when necessary. The special thing about these meetings was that in addition to information on the status, there was also an exchange of specialist knowledge. Both sides were able to benefit from the experience of the other and thus support each other.
Technical Backgrounds
We implemented the website with Spectra and developed our own theme for it. At the customer’s request, this theme was implemented based on the “bulma” framework. The development was then carried out using Docker containers and Github. We also programmed a plugin with various Gutenberg blocks for the customer. These include, for example, badges, call-to-action, hubspot forms and a price toggler.
We provided the customer with easy-to-use blocks, which could then be used and added with content by himself. The implementation of the design was also excellent and we would like to share the feedback from the designer:
“I have never seen a website implemented so closely to the design.”
After completion of the project, reteach had all further developments carried out in-house again.
SEO – Search Engine Analysis
As we know how important SEO is nowadays, we repeatedly carried out search engine analyses for reteach during the course of the project. This enabled the client to make improvements to the content during the project, which had a positive impact on the SEO evaluation.
For example, we always give advice on the subject of SEO:
- Optimization of images
- The fewer additional plugins, the better
- Technically comply with heading structure
- Optimize website for display on different devices
- Create good texts and use keywords optimally
We already took the technical SEO into account during development. The reteach team optimized the content according to our specifications.
